Events in Hereford Country

On March 8th 2009 we will once again be conducting “a junior muster” in conjunction with Bathurst Royal Show. The muster is a fun day aimed to educate and involve young people aged 7 to 18 with cattle. There will be the annual “no experience needed” paraders competition in three age groups, as well for this year, an outstanding presentation by Mr. Graeme Williams on cattle structure and some short talks on leading, ringcraft and basic feeding.

Once again we will have a steer penned for a “guess the weight” competition with a prize for the nearest guess.

Registration for the day will be 9/9:30 am adjacent to the cattle shed at Bathurst Showground, quiet cattle are made available by local breeders plus there will be a BBQ sausage sandwich and drink available FREE for breakfast and lunch. The day should conclude around 2pm. Sturdy shoes or boots, hat and sunscreen a good idea.

Please come along and have some fun.

Remember!!! No experience necessary.
